Why Wallpaper?

Why Wallpaper?

MORE AESTHETIC

Wallpaper is more aesthetic than wall paint. While wall paint lacks texture, wallpaper adds texture to your living spaces, giving a sense of aesthetics and naturalness. It also allows you to reflect your desired concept on the wall. For example, with wallpaper, you can make your bedroom resemble a palace room or turn your living room into a tropical garden.

FASTER APPLICATION

Wallpaper can be applied faster than wall paint. Before painting, a primer must be applied, and at least half a day is needed for it to dry. After the primer, several layers of paint must be applied and the paint must be allowed to dry for each layer. This application must be repeated until the desired tone is achieved. With wallpaper, you can start applying directly, and one person can cover 800 sqft in 8 hours. Additionally, unlike with wall paint, there is no risk of spillage or splattering on the items in your living space during application.

BETTER COVERAGE

Wallpaper covers wall imperfections better than wall paint. It is not possible to completely cover or eliminate nail holes and fine cracks on walls with wall paint alone. However, wallpaper can cover such deformations smoothly and quickly. Leftover wallpaper can also be stored for years to repair any future deformations.

LESS ODOR

Wallpaper is less odorous than wall paint because wall paint is a chemical used to color surfaces. Wallpaper, however, is colored with ink, which is derived from natural pigments. As a result, wallpaper is healthier and more odorless than wall paint.

EASIER TO CHANGE

Changes to the wall are easier with wallpaper. When changing wall paint, primer must be applied, and each layer of primer and wall paint requires drying time. On the other hand, non-woven based wallpaper is faster and easier to remove, making changes quicker and more practical.

HEALTHIER

Wallpaper is healthier compared to wall paint. During production, wallpaper undergoes a process where it is exposed to a 395 °F oven and 14 °F cooling, ensuring the curing of the ink happens during manufacturing. This reduces indoor air emissions to zero. In contrast, wall paint cures while being applied to the wall, and this curing, involving the breakdown and release of chemicals, occurs within living spaces, leading to the formation of chemical particles and odors indoors.

MORE COST-EFFECTIVE

Wallpaper is a more cost-effective solution than wall paint when considering the full scope of materials, labor, and long-term value. Painting requires multiple products such as paint and primer, along with significant labor time for preparation, application, and drying. In contrast, wallpaper offers a faster installation process with fewer materials and minimal disruption.

Beyond the initial application, wallpaper provides greater durability and longevity, reducing the need for frequent maintenance or repainting. It is also odorless, healthier for indoor environments, better at concealing surface imperfections, and offers added insulation benefits. With easier replacement options and a wider range of aesthetic possibilities, wallpaper delivers superior value while elevating both residential and commercial spaces.

LONGER - LASTING

Wallpaper lasts longer than wall paint. The ink used in wallpaper production retains its color much longer than wall paint. Wallpaper, being exposed to a 395 °F oven and 14 °F shock during production, does not react to climate changes. For example, while the paint around radiators changes color within a year, wallpaper remains unchanged for years.

BETTER INSULATION

Wallpaper provides better insulation compared to wall paint. While wall paint adds a maximum thickness of 0.1 mm to the wall, wallpaper adds an average thickness of 0.5 mm. This means wallpaper offers five times more sound and heat insulation than wall paint.
